More realistically, your water intake depends upon atleast 11 factors, like :-
- your body size / weight. Hence the suggested ratio of :
- 1/16 your body weight, taken in pounds = no. of glasses of water your body needs, just based on your physique. Here 1 glass = 8 US fluid ounces = 240 ml.
- This equates to dividing your body weight, taken in kgs., by 7.3
- your level of physical activity. Exercise or laborious work may add another few glasses.
- do you sweat easily? (most of the sweating is invisible)
- weather (humidity, wind, etc.)

- your state of health (to fulfill your present needs)
- your diet (dryness & quality); some foods are diuretic.
- your microvita type (your super-physical constitution)
- your age (how many of your tissues are dead / non-functional).
- quality of water (it’s molecular structure)
- your frequency / duration of bathing / swimming (skin is very absorbent)
- certain medications tend to dehydrate.
… amongst other parameters. The color of your urine is a good indication of your hydration level.
